RoboStreet Purchased a portion of Nikola's electric truck assets

Following Nikola's restructuring, RoboStreet Purchased part of the company's battery-electric truck assets — the Class 8 hardware base that our first R1 engineering-validation vehicles are built and integrated on.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — September 2025 — RoboStreet has purchased a portion of Nikola Corporation’s battery-electric truck assets following Nikola’s restructuring. The acquired assets will support the engineering and validation of RoboStreet One (R1), the company’s next-generation Class 8 electric robotic truck platform.

RoboStreet sees significant engineering value in the Nikola Tre BEV platform, which was developed through substantial investment by Nikola and its European commercial-vehicle partner, IVECO. The platform incorporates a modern heavy-duty electric vehicle architecture, integrated e-axle propulsion, high-voltage systems, thermal management, regenerative braking, and a globally diversified component and supplier ecosystem.

Rather than starting every subsystem from a blank sheet, RoboStreet plans to use selected Nikola Tre BEV assets as an engineering-validation foundation, allowing the company to build on proven heavy-duty EV architecture while accelerating development of its own R1 platform.
